GHOSTPUNCHER CORPS
PRESS KIT

Ghostpuncher Corps is an actual play podcast hosted by an entirely LGBT cast of players and DM with a decided slant towards heavy metal excess. DM’d by the same wild mind behind the webcomic Ghostpuncher–one Lilith, the headbanging, scrappy trans woman from deep in the hellish heart of Texas. GPC  explores a hyper-stylized vision of contemporary America as a motley crew of supernatural investigators do the work of Lucifer herself here on Earth: collecting or exterminating wayward beings escaped from Hell.

They’re not as evil as they may sound, it’s difficult to turn down a motivated woman in a sharp pantsuit.

THE CAST

Elektra, 25, the extremely gay synth bard hailing from somewhere in the Pacific Northwest. She’s oddly soft spoken for a bard, but knows how to let the noize out when it’s needed.

She’s played by Sydney Tullius, a synth witch living in sun-baked Austin, Texas with her her familiar (and frequent uninvited guest on the show) Peepaloop.

Amanda Killian

Mikey, 31, the feral druid. Not much is known about Mikey–not that he’s hiding anything, not on purpose anyway. The last time he was seen in civilized society was at some point on a family trip in 1987 at the tender age of four. That is, before he showed up at the beginning of our adventure with a commandeered Winnebago he barely knew how to drive.

Mikey is played by Cassidy Kruk, a semi reformed crust punk and full time heavy metal cultist. Cassidy has a beautiful, loud, black cat named Kanti who is surprisingly restrained come recording time.

Last but certainly not least, Petua, age hmm? hailing from what’s that now? Petua is an art historian wielding the very hammer Pierre Pinoncelli used to deface Duchamp’s Fountain, as well as a command of warlock magics that is as powerful as it is deeply unsettling.

Petua is played expertly by Amanda Killian, an art historian and graphic designer currently living in Buffalo, New York with her cat, Audrey (another frequent uninvited guest on the show) Amanda came out as a lesbian in 2014 and as a prep in 2015.

WHAT'S BEEN SAID ABOUT GPC

“In a medium where even the most popular shows regularly yadda-yadda-yadda their way through scenes that exist as expositional formalities, seeing a DM have the confidence to not say a single thing for extended periods of time while her players explore these identities they’ve spent years building is an absolute treat… All from a show that originally started with an arc in which the gang investigates haunted truck nuts. “

Gavin Gaddis, The Pod Report Monthly

“The show has a similar feel to the hyperbolic graphic novel series Preacher, and draws on horror movie elements from both slasher classics and more recent comedies like Dale and Tucker vs. Evil or Cabin in the Woods.”

Wil Williams, Polygon (from: 15 Tabletop Gaming Podcasts You Should Be Listening To)

“I am mad that not enough people know of this podcast… There’s no animated videos like with [The Adventure Zone] fanimations on YouTube. Not enough people that animate know of the show but the show really deserves some of these things, someone out there, please, make more content for this podcast. It’s so so good.”
